Welcome to the homepage about the artist Alfons Walde!
The Austrian painter Alfons Walde became very well-known for his advertisements for Tyrolean winter sports resorts that he created in the 1930ies and is considered as the first modern artist who established winter sports in painting. In spite of its wide appeal Walde’s oeuvre, which was influenced by the Viennese Secession, is still convincing due to its high quality. Walde-paintings are exhibited in various museums and gain top prices on the international art market. Less known than his alpine landscape paintings and studies of daily life is Walde’s nude painting – however, the erotic oeuvre more and more draws the attention of collectors.
